Parents are required to attend four biweekly parenting enhancement classes while their youth is enrolled in a counseling program.  Classes foster a commitment to good parenting and enhance parenting skills enabling parents to exercise more control over their youth.  Difficult parenting issues are discussed, plus group discussion time is provided for collective suggestions, guidance, and encouragement.  Program goals include:

• ensure safety of children and citizens
• instill respect for human rights and property rights of all citizens
• improve participant’s ability to resolve personal problems
• improve family relationships
• inspire and motivate participant’s confidence
• reduce recidivism
• help youth develop good habits
• increase understanding of personal responsibility
• enhance life preparedness
